Brickmania BFVA Weekend Event Schedule

For information on BrickFair Virginia, tickets, and more click HERE. The Brickmania event schedule for the BFVA weekend of August 5–7 is as follows. Please note, all Brickmania BFVA events will be held at out Chantilly, VA retail location. Times are subject to change.

FRIDAY, AUGUST 5TH – Special Military Building Community Event and Minifig Reveal

SPEAKER(S) 2:00 PM – 3:30 PM: Paul Kopsick, Vietnam veteran US Army (1970-71) and tentative TBA guest(s).
Paul Kopsick, Vietnam veteran US Army (1970-71),  historian, editor, current president of the National Dusters, Quads and Searchlight Association (NDQSA). Historian for all 14 of the Air Defense Artillery units that served in Vietnam 1965-1972. Includes the M42 Duster, the M-55 Quad-50 gun mount, Xenon Searchlights, HAWK missiles and the M-163 Vulcan.  “First to Fire…Last To Leave!” www.ndqsa.com

SPEAKER 3:30 PM – 4:15 PM: Matt McDivitt served 27 years as Marine Corps infantry officer retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel.
He deployed to Iraq in September 2004 in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom II to assume duties as the
Division Operations Officer Advisor, Iraqi Intervention Force (1st Iraqi Division). He coached and
mentored the Iraqi Division’s leadership of 6,800 soldiers to plan and conduct operations to Fallujah,
Mosul, and Baghdad to defeat insurgents and ensure a successful national election.
In November 2009, he deployed to Afghanistan to serve as the counter-insurgency advisory and
assistance team leader for the International Security Assistance Force. His team participated in over 50
extended tactical embeds providing counterinsurgency advice and assistance to deployed multi-national
units from Task Force down to platoon level, Afghan National Army units, and civilian counterparts.
His military awards and decorations include the Legion of Merit, two Bronze Star Medals.

SPEAKER 4:15 PM – 5:00 PM: Naval History and Heritage Command representative discussing personal experiences as well as the mission of the NHHC. The Naval History and Heritage Command (NHHC), headed by the Director of Naval History, is an Echelon II command headquartered on the Washington Navy Yard, D.C. Vision: To serve our nation, by using the power of history and heritage to enhance the warfighting capability of the U.S. Navy.

DINNER BREAK

MEET & GREET 7:00 PM – CLOSE: Join Dan Siskind, Mary Wilson, Lando, Amanda Feuk, and Dilan Czech for a store-exclusive minifig reveal and first chance to purchase! Minifig reveal will happen at 7:00 PM EDT sharp!

SATURDAY, AUGUST 6TH – BrickFair VA and Micro Brick Battle

BFVA ALL DAY: Join us at our booth to talk all things Brickmania with Dan Siskind, Mary Wilson, Lando, Amanda Feuk, and Dilan Czech throughout the day! We won’t be selling anything at BFVA however, so stop by next door for any purchase needs!

MICRO BRICK BATTLE 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM: Join Game Master Amanda for a fun how-to-play tutorial as well as open play at the new Brickmania Chantilly gaming space!
